Introduction The stone footprints are located on the first-level terrace of the left bank of the Kapuslan River within Tiereke Town, Baicheng County. Beside them is a deeply cut small valley, the source of which is a bitter spring that drips out along fissures in Tertiary sandstone. It is said that this bitter spring can cure eye diseases, and every year many local people come here to wash their eyes for treatment.

The stone footprints are on a dark brown volcanic pebble in an oval shape. They form a deep left footprint, with the imprint about 3 cm deep, approximately 28 cm long, and 9.5 cm wide. Another right footprint has also been discovered at the top of a mountain near the hot springs upstream. Whose footprints these are—left by some deity who descended to earth so long ago—remains a mystery. The stone footprints are located beside the road to the hot springs, so visitors heading to the hot springs or other scenic spots can stop by and admire this natural mystery.
