Amanishah Khan was born in 1526 and died in 1560 as the consort of Abdurashit. She was an outstanding Uyghur female poet of the fifteenth century and the compiler of the classical Uyghur music “Twelve Muqam”. She entered the palace at the age of 13 and passed away at 34 due to complications during childbirth. From a young age, she had a deep interest in poetry and music. She visited folk artists, poets, and singers, and compiled and created the “Twelve Muqam,” which brought together the essence of classical Uyghur music, transforming folk music into a scientific, systematic, and rigorous repertoire. The “Twelve Muqam” is famous both in China and abroad and is a rare treasure of Uyghur music and dance art.
