Tajik Museum

The Tajik Museum is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tajik Museum is located in Kashgar. Established in 1959, it originally served as an internal exhibition room for the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources before opening to the public. The museum houses a collection of over 16,000 samples of ores and gemstones, but due to space limitations, only 4,500 are on display. Of these, 90% are ores mined within Tajikistan, with a small portion provided by other countries through exchange. The exhibition area covers 320 square meters and displays specimens from various disciplines of geology: mineralogy, petrology, paleontology, and paleobotany. The museum not only presents a comprehensive overview of Tajikistan’s geological distribution but also showcases the distribution of its mineral resources, along with samples representing different stages of origin and evolution.
