Wild Lotus Valley, also known as "Lotus Garden," gets its name from the wild lotus plants (woody palmate ligularia) that grow abundantly throughout the scenic area. The valley stretches 10 kilometers in length and is over 10 meters wide. Hiking up the valley, you’ll find steep cliffs on both sides, with layers of pine forests forming a natural green corridor. Attractions include the "Defiance Cave," "Lotus-Permeated Rock," "Fragrant Perfume Bridge," "Fragrant Perfume Lone Hill," and "Fragrant Perfume Brain." The northern bank of the valley features towering cliffs covered with Huashan pines, while the southern bank has gentler slopes dotted with a rich variety of trees such as birch, Huashan pine, mountain poplar, and Liaodong oak, along with ornamental shrubs and flowering plants like thorny rose, wild rose, and pearl bush. The valley floor is carpeted with wild aquatic plants like ligularia, their broad leaves spreading like umbrellas. Lotus leaves peek out from among lush trees and clear river water, evoking the charm of a Jiangnan water town. The air in the valley is fresh and cool, the vegetation well-preserved, and the scenery picturesque—making it an ideal summer retreat and a prime spot for developing unique sightseeing experiences.
