The main peak, Migang Mountain, was historically known as Gaoshan and also called Meigaoshan. With an elevation of 2,942 meters, it is the highest peak of Liupan Mountain and also serves as the boundary between Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City and the two counties of Longde and Jingyuan. Migang Mountain is an excellent spot for enjoying panoramic views from high altitudes. On a clear day, when you ascend to the summit and gaze into the distance, you can witness the sunrise and sunset, watch the clouds billow and the sky glow, take in the overlapping mountain ranges, steep valleys, and feel as though “all other mountains appear small.” Looking down, you’ll see an endless stretch of peaks, terraced fields layered upon layers, colorful farmland, winding roads, and farmsteads at the foot of the mountain—all combining to create a scene that makes you feel the vastness of the sky and mountains, a broadened heart, and a deep sense of joy.
