The Memorial Hall of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Memorial Hall of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army is located within the Martyrs' Cemetery on Nan Chuan East Road in Xining City, Qinghai Province. The cemetery was built in July 1954 at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in downtown Xining, adjacent to the Nan Chuan River, and boasts picturesque surroundings. The site includes a group sculpture of martyrs, a memorial monument, martyr tombs, and the Memorial Hall of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

In front of the cemetery stands a group sculpture commemorating the martyrs of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. The base of the sculpture bears an inscription by Comrade Li Xiannian: “The martyrs of the Red Army’s Western Route Army will live forever in our hearts.” At the highest point of the cemetery lies the Tomb of the Martyrs of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. As early as 1954, the Xining Municipal People's Government collected the remains of the fallen martyrs and interred them at the center of the cemetery, holding a solemn public memorial ceremony. The tomb is circular, with a white marble structure and a diameter of 3 meters, and houses the remains of 840 Red Army martyrs, including Sun Yuqing.

In 1986, the Memorial Hall of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was added to the cemetery. It displays the stories of more than 5,600 martyrs of the Western Route Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army who sacrificed their lives in Qinghai, recreating the heroic and tragic struggles of the army’s soldiers.

In August 1988, Xining City in Qinghai Province erected a white marble statue and a memorial monument at the site where Martyr Sun Yuqing was killed. The monument bears an inscription by Marshal Xu Xiangqian: “The spirit of the martyrs of the Western Route Army will be immortalized in history,” along with a commemorative epitaph.
