Golmud Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism attraction.

Golmud Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Golmud City, Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Established in 1956, the cemetery covers an area of 50,000 square meters and is the final resting place of 331 martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives during the construction of key national projects such as the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, the first phase of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and the Ge’ermu–Golmud Oil Pipeline, as well as the development of the high-altitude city of Golmud. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the world’s longest high-altitude railway, consisting of the Xining–Golmud section and the Golmud–Lhasa section, with a total length of 1,956 kilometers. During the groundbreaking ceremony of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, national leaders praised it as “the construction of the world’s highest and longest high-altitude railway, an unprecedented great feat in the history of railway engineering.” The cemetery features a memorial monument, a memorial square, an exhibition hall, and more. It is a provincial-level protected martyrs' memorial facility in Qinghai Province.
