Yuzhu Peak Expedition Base Camp
Also known as Keke Saigengmen Peak, Yuzhu Peak stands at an elevation of 6,178 meters, making it the highest peak in the eastern section of the Kunlun Mountains. It is located in central Qinghai Province, 160 kilometers south of Golmud and 10 kilometers east of the Kunlun Mountain Pass. The nearest residential area, Naij Tal, is 60 kilometers away, while the city of Golmud is less than 200 kilometers from the peak. In August, the lowest snow line reaches an altitude of 5,600 meters. Numerous peaks around 5,000 meters tower on both sides of Yuzhu Peak, and modern glaciers have developed on both its northern and southern slopes. The terrain features a gentle southern slope and a steep northern slope. The southern glacier terminus is at approximately 5,100 meters, while the northern slope has a greater gradient, with glaciers extending down to 4,400 meters. With a moderate altitude and gentle slopes, Yuzhu Peak does not require highly advanced climbing techniques, classifying it as an entry-level difficulty. It is particularly suitable for novice mountaineers and serves as an excellent training ground for those climbing a mountain for the first time.
Banji Peak

Banji Peak, with an elevation of 5,430 meters, is situated deep within the Bipenggou Tourist Scenic Area in Li County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It lies along the Jiuzhaigou-Miyaluo Golden Tourism Route and is over 250 kilometers from Chengdu, the provincial capital. The journey from Chengdu to the base camp takes approximately five to seven hours. On May 4, 2004, seven climbers successfully reached the summit of an unclimbed peak, measuring its elevation at 5,430 meters. The summit is hidden behind a ridge, so there was no local name for the peak. Based on its shape, the first ascent team named it Banji Peak, meaning "Half Ridge Peak."
All the brave climbers who summited Yuzhu Peak and Banji Peak have now safely returned to Guangzhou for rest and recovery.
