On August 12, 2014, Beijing time, 11 more members of the China Agricultural University Peak Cloud Society climbing team successfully summited Yuzhu Peak, including six males and five females. As of now, during the 12-day climb, a total of 23 people (excluding two coaches, 21 participants) have successfully summited Yuzhu Peak from the southern slope, which stands at an elevation of 6,178 meters.
The China Agricultural University climbing team consisted of 24 members from various grades and departments. The team was made up of 10 veteran members and 14 new members, with a male-to-female ratio of 2:1 (excluding coaches).
On July 28, the China Aggie Peak Cloud Society climbing team departed from Beijing to Golmud City in Qinghai Province, and began snow mountain acclimatization training at the Yuzhu Peak base camp starting on August 31. The 24 team members fully demonstrated their positive and enterprising spirit, with deep yearning for the snow mountains, taking one step at a time toward the embrace of nature. As of now, all 24 members of the China Agricultural University Yuzhu Peak climbing team have safely descended and returned to the base camp. In the coming days, they will undergo further snow mountain technical training at the foot of Yuzhu Peak, with plans to return to school in mid-August.
