The Martyrs' Cemetery of He Chang is a Shanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Martyrs' Memorial Cemetery of He Chang in Liulin County is located southwest of the county town, the hometown of martyr He Chang in Shanxi Province. It is adjacent to National Highway 307, enjoying convenient transportation and a prime location, covering an area of 12,948 square meters. In 1984, to commemorate the great achievements of martyr He Chang, the people of Liulin County, with land donated by the He Chang Village Committee and initiated by the County Youth League Committee, began preparations. The monument was completed in 1985, with inscriptions personally penned by [name redacted] and Nie Rongzhen. In recent years, with high attention from the county Party committee and government and the joint care of the people across the county, a total investment of 1.1 million yuan has been made to construct an exhibition hall, a statue of He Chang, three scenic pavilions, a 50-meter flower trellis, and a 4-mu lotus lake. The lake's surface is designed in the shape of the Liulin County terrain, with a lotus island in the center connected by winding bridges on all sides, symbolizing Liulin’s well-connected infrastructure and the peaceful, prosperous life of its people. In 1987, the Martyrs' Cemetery of He Chang was listed as a Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the provincial government.

Native of Liulin Town, Lishi County, Shanxi Province (now Liulin County), originally named He Ying. Born on January 19, 1906, into a gentry family. He began school at age 7.
