The high-speed rail Yunlin Station, located next to the Nongbo Ecological Park in Huwei Township, officially opened on December 1st. 1. Nongbo Park
Under the county government’s careful maintenance, Yunlin Nongbo Ecological Park has become a hidden gem for locals seeking leisure and healthy living.

2. Xinglong Towel Tourist Factory
The very famous Xinglong Towel Tourist Factory features many adorable towel designs, making it a perfect destination for family outings.

3. Cake Towel Café
With a Mediterranean Greek blue-and-white architectural style, this café is Taiwan’s only one themed entirely around towels.

4. Huwei Yunlin Puppet Theater Museum
The Puppetry Museum was formerly the old police station in Houbi Township, Yunlin County, and during the Japanese colonial period, it served as the Houbi District Office of Tainan Prefecture. The museum currently preserves a wealth of history and culture related to puppetry and holds significant historical value.

5. Houbi Yunlin Story House
Formerly the residence of the Houbi District Magistrate during the Japanese colonial period, it was officially opened around 2007 after restoration and is the first example of historical building reuse in Yunlin County.

6. Houbi Sugar Refinery & Tongxin Park
Established in 1907, the Houbi Sugar Refinery is one of Taiwan Sugar Corporation’s three major head refineries. Next to the refinery lies the Houbi Sugar Refinery Iron Bridge, a county-designated historic site originally funded and built by the Taiwan Sugar Company (a subsidiary of the former Japanese Colonial Government). Tongxin Park is located opposite the refinery and has become one of the popular attractions for visitors to the sugar refinery area.

7. Houbi Cottage Salon
A Japanese-Western hybrid residence built in 1940 (combining traditional Japanese wooden architecture with Western design elements), which was transformed into an “independent bookstore” in 2011. It focuses on clear themes such as “ecology, gender, and alternative globalization,” curating diverse art salons and thematic book exhibitions.

8. Houbi Painted Paper-cut Art Village
Along the road in front of the local temple “Long’an Temple,” the walls are covered with red-and-white paper-cuttings of the twelve zodiac animals, turning the area into a vibrant art-painted street that is a popular photo spot.

9. The Cats on the Rooftops of Houbi Dingxi Community
Created by students from Houbi University of Science and Technology in Yunlin, this alternative painted community features cats as its theme, inspired by local residents, childlike fun, and felines. It's a very healing tourist attraction.

In addition, the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" offers two sightseeing bus routes—the Douliu Gukeng Line and the Beigang Huwei Line—both departing from the Douliu Back Railway Station. The routes stop at many well-known tourist attractions in Yunlin, including the following:

1. Gukeng Green Tunnel
The tunnel is lined with mango trees over fifty years old, forming a natural shady canopy. On weekends, many vendors set up stalls nearby, and there’s also the charming Bee Story House to explore. Recently, the "2015 Taiwan Coffee Festival" is being held here, where visitors can enjoy coffee, scenic views, and a variety of coffee-flavored meals and specialty products.

2. Hua Shan Coffee Street
Known as the "hometown of coffee," Yunlin’s Gukeng offers authentic, richly aromatic coffee at Hua Shan Coffee Street.

3. Janfusun Fancyworld Theme Park
Located in Gukeng, Janfusun Fancyworld is the largest-scale theme amusement park in central and southern Taiwan.
