The Diqing Ethnic Costume Exhibition and Performance Center is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Diqing Ethnic Costume Tourism Exhibition and Performance Center is situated in a prime location within Shangri-La’s tourism hub. It is a folk art training center under the Diqing Prefecture Mass Art Gallery. In July 2002, it was rated as a AA-level cultural scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration. The hall can accommodate over 300 visitors simultaneously, and the interior is decorated primarily with magnificent yet dignified traditional Tibetan murals, each telling a touching folk legend.

More than ten performers showcase the most representative ethnic and folk traditional songs, dances, religious costumes, and other cultural essences unique to Diqing and Shangri-La. The Tibetan wedding customs allow you to joyfully participate in demonstrations, truly experiencing the roles of “bride” and “groom.” The graceful movements of the Nixi Love Dance and Tacheng Reba Dance will surely captivate you, making you linger without any thought of going home. Visitors can sit on comfortable Tibetan-style seats, enjoy authentic Tibetan cuisine, and watch delightful performances. You’ll even have the chance to join in the show and personally experience Tibetan string dance and the customs of other ethnic groups native to Shangri-La, deepening your understanding of Shangri-La’s ethnic culture.
