The new year is approaching, and the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has collaborated with theme park operators to launch a series of promotions from January 1 to January 4, 2015 (104 in the Republic of China calendar), helping the public ring in the new year with joy. Among them, “E-DA World” offers a round-trip high-speed rail shuttle bus service by E-DA Bus and a meal voucher with the purchase of a full-price park ticket, while children under 12 years old can enter for just NT$1 (requires an adult to purchase a full-price ticket on-site).

“Shangri-La Amusement Park” is offering free admission for those born under the zodiac signs of Capricorn or Aries for a limited time; “Yehliu Ocean Park” has a special rate for Hualien residents, with park tickets priced at just NT$390, and NT$590 for residents of Yilan and Taitung (original price NT$890). There are more theme park discounts available. Below are the detailed promotional offers from major theme parks:

Window on China Theme Park

1. A 50% discount for everyone—both kids and adults can enjoy a full day of fun for just NT$399 (original price NT$799). Additionally, children under 3 years old enjoy free admission!
2. Take the Hsinchu Bus to Window on China Theme Park, and show your bus ticket to get a discounted park ticket for NT$359 (original price NT$799).
3. Taiwan United Bus: Discounted combo tickets (park ticket + bus fare) sold by Taiwan United.
(1) Taipei City round-trip bus ticket + park ticket, adult: NT$633.
(2) Taipei City round-trip bus ticket + park ticket, child: NT$517.
(3) New Taipei City round-trip bus ticket + park ticket, adult: NT$575.

Lihpao Land
1. New Year’s Day Birthday Freebie: Those born on January 1st (Gregorian calendar) can present an ID document to enter the park for free on one of the days between 2015/01/01–2015/01/04.

Dongshi Forest Recreation Area
1. Early Bird Promotion from 1/1 to 1/4: Enter the park before 10:00 AM to enjoy park admission for 160 RMB.
