Attraction Introduction

Pregnant Woman’s Spring is situated on the right bank of the Rehai Bathing River. Also known as Dragon-Phoenix Spring, it consists of two springs at the same elevation. The water temperature is 88°C, with a flow rate of 0.02 L/S. The twelve stone railings are engraved with the twelve zodiac animal designs. Its water is rich in various trace elements and radon, helping to regulate nervous system excitement, stabilize psychological balance, promote metabolism, dilate blood vessels, and regulate endocrine functions, earning it the reputation of a “miraculous remedy.”

According to local guides, the legend goes that over 300 years ago, the son of a wealthy family from Zhuxing Street married a beautiful young woman. The couple lived in harmony and mutual affection. However, despite being married for many years, they had no children. No matter how filial the young couple were, the husband’s parents continued to discriminate against and verbally abuse the wife. Unable to bear it any longer, the couple left home and became sulfur miners at the Sulfur Pond. After just over a year of consistently drinking the water there, the wife became pregnant. They returned home to inform their parents, who were overjoyed. When the child was born, the wealthy family invited a feng shui master, slaughtered pigs and sheep, and held a grand sacrificial ceremony. The spot where the young wife had drunk the water was enclosed with stones carved with the twelve zodiac signs in the shape of a “well,” and it was named “Pregnant Woman’s Spring.”

1. There is a direct shuttle bus from the southern part of Huancheng South Road in Tengchong County, with a fare of 6 RMB per person.

2. Next to Yihua Garden Hotel at the intersection of Rehai Road and Jinrong Road, there are also minibuses available for 5 RMB per person, departing when full.

3. Take Bus No. 2 in Tengchong County; the terminal stop is the Rehai Scenic Area, with a fare of 1 RMB.
