Nangunhe Nature Reserve

Nangunhe Nature Reserve is a national-level nature reserve.

Nangunhe Nature Reserve is located in the northwest of Cangyuan County, covering an area of over 600 hectares. As a tropical rainforest area, various broadleaf plants grow rapidly here, forming a balanced ecological community that provides an ideal habitat for a wide range of animals.

Rare animals include: clouded leopards, Asian elephants, Bengal tigers, golden snub-nosed monkeys, gibbons, pythons, and monitor lizards; rare birds include: green peafowls, hornbills, silver pheasants, and Lady Amherst’s pheasants.

The Cangyuan area, like Hubei's Shennongjia, also has legends of the "wild man." Although no one has yet confirmed the existence of the "wild man," this is indeed a mysterious land.
