Chinese Ethnic Culture Park
The Chinese Ethnic Culture Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.
The Beijing Chinese Ethnic Culture Park is a large-scale cultural park that integrates traditional architecture, ethnic customs, song and dance performances, handicrafts, and ethnic cuisine of China’s minority groups. Covering a total area of 45 hectares, the park is divided into a north and a south section. The north section has been completed and opened to the public, spanning 20 hectares. It features sixteen ethnic villages, including those of the Tibetan, Miao, Yi, Dong, Taiwanese Gaoshan, Korean, Buyi, Hani, Qiang, Dai, Jingpo, Daur, Ewenki, Oroqen, and Hezhen peoples. The park also houses the largest cast iron sculpture in China, as well as simulated tropical banyan forests, water caves, earth forests, the Panlong Waterfall, Cangyuan Rock Paintings, and the Sacred Tree of Alishan. The south section is under construction and will mainly include major facilities such as an Ethnic Museum and Sculpture Plaza, along with over twenty additional ethnic villages. All buildings are constructed at a 1:1 scale, authentically recreating the cultural heritage of each ethnic group. Visitors can enjoy and even participate in various performances and activities such as ethnic songs and dances, festivals, production demonstrations, customs, competitions, and craft displays, offering a unique cultural and artistic experience of China’s diverse ethnicities.
