Kilometer-long Chinese Painting Gallery
A kilometer-long cliff mural gallery, named for its resemblance from afar to a bold, richly colored traditional Chinese landscape painting. The cliffs rise steeply, with some surfaces forming overhangs, others rugged and dotted with honeycomb-like karst holes, some as smooth and flat as if cut by knives and axes, and others terraced like rice paddies. The cliff surfaces, colored by mineral stains and accented by clinging and climbing plants, become vibrant and varied, resembling a massive mural depicting the vicissitudes of the ancient land.
