Longkou

On the midsection of the cliff face to the south of Longkou Stone Forest, there is a feature called the Dragon’s Mouth. From it gushes an arc-shaped water column about two meters in diameter, shooting over 30 meters down into the Dragon Pool. The impact stirs up a misty cloud that slowly rises from the pool — at times coiling like white vines encircling the area, at others resembling the flowing white ribbons of celestial dancers swirling around the cliffs, partially veiling the scene in ever-changing forms. Standing within the pool, you feel the cool, gentle breeze brush your face, while the moist mist caresses your skin and drifts lightly around your shoulders and waist. Sunbeams, struggling to break through the fog, create dazzling rainbow halos that become vividly visible. Strings and beads of mist droplets fall like scattered pearls or dance gracefully amid the milky fog. The thunderous roar of the falling water reverberates off the surrounding cliffs, echoing like rolling thunder that shakes the soul. The winding river flows downstream, irrigating a slope dotted with terraced fields of various sizes, creating a stunning pastoral landscape.
