Shiqiao Village

Shiqiao Village is a well-known village famous for its ancient handmade papermaking. This Miao ethnic village is home to 250 households, over 40 of which make a living from papermaking, making it a true papermaking village. The tradition of handmade papermaking dates back to the mid-Tang Dynasty. Although modern papermaking has become increasingly advanced and handmade paper is not very profitable, the village has preserved this traditional craft intact to this day.
