Recently, the Kaili Kaihong Open Year International Hotel officially signed an agreement. This marks the first hotel project signed by Open Year Hotels Group in 2014, as well as the brand’s first entry into the Guizhou market in China’s southwestern region.

Guizhou Province is rich in resources and boasts tremendous development potential. Known as the “Park Province,” Guizhou offers scenic views everywhere and is a prime destination for leisure, wellness, and vacation. The Kaili Kaihong Open Year International Hotel is located in Kaili City, the capital of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in southeastern Guizhou Province. It is a regional central city in eastern Guizhou and also the political, economic, and cultural hub of the entire prefecture. Kaili is known as the “Hometown of a Hundred Festivals in China” and is home to the world’s longest and widest covered bridge as well as the world’s largest Miao village. The surrounding areas and the city itself feature numerous famous attractions such as Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Shanmu River, and Yuntai Mountain. It is an international tourism city characterized by its pristine ethnic culture and actively developing modern industry.

The Kaili Kaihong Open Year International Hotel is situated in the Dazhizheng block in the city center of Kaili, within easy reach of the transportation hub, the prefectural government, Dagushan Scenic Area, and the commercial center. It enjoys significant geographical and environmental advantages. The hotel is positioned as a five-star property with beautiful surroundings, comprehensive facilities, and distinctive ethnic and ecological features. The hotel is invested in and constructed by Qiandongnan Kaihong Assets Operation Co., Ltd. Its architectural design fully respects the local cultural context of Qiandongnan, drawing inspiration from the unique architectural styles of the region’s ethnic groups, and uses modern construction techniques to highlight cultural heritage. The hotel building stands 93.7 meters tall and will house 223 guest rooms. It will feature dining areas including a banquet hall, Chinese restaurant, specialty restaurant, and lobby bar, as well as various conference and leisure entertainment facilities. The hotel is expected to open in 2015.

It is understood that once completed and operational, the hotel will become a culturally rich urban landmark in Kaili. Fully managed and operated by Open Year Hotels Group, it will contribute to enhancing the functionality and image of the city of Qiandongnan, attracting investment, and improving the overall cultural environment of the region. The hotel will also serve as a beautiful calling card for Qiandongnan Prefecture and even the broader southwestern region.

Open Year Hotels Group is China’s largest privately-owned high-end hotel chain group, ranking second among the largest hotel groups in China and listed among the top 100 global hotel groups. The group operates five major product lines: “Open Year Mingdu,” “Open Year Resort,” “Open Year Grand Hotel,” “Open Year Manju Hotel,” and Open Year Cultural Theme Hotels. Currently, the company manages and has agreements with 150 hotels, with a total of over 40,000 guest rooms, distributed across 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, as well as Frankfurt, Germany.

Open Year Hotels Group began its layout in the southwestern region in 2011. Currently, Open Year Hotels have entered Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province, and the Tibet Autonomous Region, and are spread across East China, North China, Central China, Northeast China, Western China, and Hainan. Further expansion in the southwestern region has given Open Year Hotels Group greater confidence to accelerate the completion of its nationwide regional coverage. (Text by Dai Lingjun)
