Qingman Miao Village is located 25 kilometers from the center of Kaili City, in the southwestern part of Kaili. Built against the mountains, the village features stilted houses stacked in layers, with eaves crisscrossing in an orderly and uniquely shaped arrangement. In front of the village are terraced fields, while ancient trees tower behind it. Qingman Miao Village has over 300 households and more than 1,600 residents, all of whom are ethnic Miao. It is a representative of the Zhuxi-style Miao costume. The Miao people of Qingman maintain ancient ethnic festivals, including: the Spring Festival Lusheng Gathering, the February Drum-Stepping Festival, the July New Rice Festival, the Courtship Festival, and the October Ancestor Worship Festival. During these grand celebrations, visitors can enjoy colorful dances, listen to elegant and melodious traditional music played on instruments such as the lusheng, mangtong, ye xiao, mu ye, mu gu, and tong gu, and witness the vibrant courtship (known as "youfang") and antiphonal singing between young men and women. Today, Qingman Miao Village still preserves exquisite traditional handicrafts such as ancient weaving, intricate embroidery, and traditional dyeing techniques. Miao women, known for their craftsmanship, can create various patterns using colorful threads without any paper or sketches, simply by relying on their imagination and stitching each design needle by needle. The costumes feature vivid depictions of birds, beasts, flowers, birds, insects, and fish, all rich in distinctive characteristics.
