Situated by the East Lake in Danzhai County, Danzhai Wanda Town is built upon traditional Miao ethnic architecture and centers around the historical and cultural heritage and ethnic charm of Danzhai. The town is divided into three themed streets—Sisters’ Street, Yougong Street, and Miao Sister Street—and four major squares—Yougong Square, Miao New Year Square, Drum Tower Square, and Golden Pheasant Square. The scenic area boasts the world’s largest waterwheel (with a diameter of 28 meters), recognized by the Guinness World Records. A dazzling array of national intangible cultural heritages are gathered here, including Miao epic Jiuli, Lusheng dance, Golden Pheasant dance, Miao New Year Festival, Miao batik, traditional papermaking, and Miao ethnic costumes.
