The Shixian Mountain Cliff Carvings are a cultural heritage site protected by the Kaili Municipal Government.

The Shixian Mountain Cliff Carvings are located in Haixing Village, Lushan Town, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, and are categorized as cave temples and stone carvings.

On September 13, 2013, the Kaili Municipal People's Government designated them as part of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Lushan Town: Lushan Town is situated in the northwest of Kaili City. It borders Longchang Town and Wanchao Town of Kaili City to the east, Fuquan City of Qiannan Prefecture to the west, Majiang County to the south, and Dafengdong Township of Kaili City to the north. Historically, it has been known as being at the junction of “two prefectures and three counties.” The town center enjoys prosperous trade and convenient transportation, with the Hunan-Guizhou Highway, Lushan-Rongjiang Highway, and the Zhuzhi-Liupanshui Railway passing through. It lies 38 kilometers from downtown Kaili. The town covers a total area of 190.36 square kilometers, comprising 27 administrative villages, one neighborhood committee, 190 villager groups, and five neighborhood sub-groups.
