Shisun Gully Natural Stone Forest Park. Situated about one kilometer east of Yedong River, the gully extends over ten li in length and ranges between 10 to 100 meters in width. The valley is enclosed by steep, facing mountains blanketed in lush woods, with streams flowing gently around. The trail winds its way up along the pebbly streambed, taking twists and turns. The rocks on the mountains look like massive bamboo shoots, hence the name. Additionally, some of the peaks and peculiar stones in the gully strikingly resemble humans or animals, remarkably lifelike. The cliffs within the gully often grow wintersweet, which blooms in deep winter, painting the area in golden yellow hues for visitors in the colder months. In spring and summer, the forest is verdant and vines are entwined, making the walk through the area a cool retreat even in the height of summer. This scenic area is a natural stone forest ecological park on the Guizhou Plateau. The old county annals of Huangping once featured a special description of this landscape. Shisun Gully is a natural ecological stone forest park awaiting further development and utilization.
