The stone forest is located at Yinzhen Temple, at the border between Maoya Town and Wangcao Town, 42 kilometers from downtown Suiyang. It is connected by road to the Kuankuoshui Nature Reserve in Shuanghe Cave National Geopark, just a 6-kilometer journey away.

Maoya Town: Located 24 kilometers north of Suiyang County, Maoya Town lies upstream of the Furong River. It borders Wangcao Town to the east, Yangchuan and Fenghua Towns to the south, and Jianba, Kuankuoshui, and Huangyang to the north and west, covering a total area of over 180 square kilometers. The town administers 7 administrative villages, 107 villager groups, and 20 administrative and public institutions. There are two middle schools and 17 primary schools. The town has 1 Party Committee, 16 Party branches, and 249 Party cells. There are two markets within the town, and small-town construction has begun to take shape.
