Hou Shui Lake is the second largest artificial lake in Guizhou Province. The lake stretches 7 kilometers in length, with a maximum width of 0.5 kilometers, covering an area of 2,000 mu. The lake area features distinctive caves, forests, mountains, waters, and springs. With its sparkling blue waves, serene mountains, tranquil waters, flocks of water birds, spring azaleas, and autumn red maples, it offers delightful scenery and is an ideal place for boating, fishing, summer retreats, and leisure vacations.

Nearby Hou Shui Lake, there are also several karst caves such as Huang Jin Cave, Shi Zi Cave, Tian Men Cave, and Long Quan Cave. Shi Zi Cave is 200 meters long with a diameter of 20 meters. It has many branching tunnels, with upper and lower levels creating a maze-like structure. Both Tian Men Cave and Long Quan Cave are water caves, and visitors can take boat rides through Long Quan Cave to admire uniquely shaped stalactites. Waterfalls are abundant throughout the scenic area, such as the 150-meter-high Ya Yan Xi Waterfall, which cascades down from the mountain pass, following the mountain terrain with pleasant sounds. The Tian Men Guan Waterfall flows down from the mountainside, forming multiple tiers. The Ma Ban Yan Flying Spring, over 40 meters high, forms spectacular icefalls in winter.

Hou Shui Lake is located in Pushang Town in the southwestern part of Suiyang County, 27 kilometers from the county seat and 42 kilometers from downtown Zunyi, offering convenient and fast transportation.

Pushang Town: Pushang Town is situated in the southwestern part of Suiyang County. Its geographical coordinates are: 107°01′—107°06′ east longitude and 27°49′—28°03′ north latitude. To the west, it borders Banqiao, Sidu, Gaoping, and Jintang towns (townships) of Huichuan District; to the north, it neighbors Jianba Town; to the south, it faces areas such as Huichuan District and Tuanzhe. It is 26 kilometers from Zunyi City and 10 kilometers from the county seat. Provincial Highway S207 runs north–south through the town.
