Baihua Lake Scenic Area is located in the northwestern suburbs of Guiyang, approximately 22 kilometers from the city center. Covering a total area of 83 square kilometers, the lake features over 100 large and small islands scattered across its waters. The area is characterized mainly by karst landforms and picturesque landscapes of lakes and mountains, with crystal-clear water and rugged rocks. Resembling the scenery of Guilin’s Li River, it has earned the nickname “Little Guilin.” The scenic area boasts over 50 scenic spots, 23 of which are currently open to the public. These include Pine Forest Overlook, Twin Monkeys Guarding the Garden, Crab Islet and Snail Island, Guanyin Cave, Baihua Twin Gorges, Layered Peaks and Verdant Hills, Golden Toad Playing in Water, Solitary Peak Standing Alone, Unique Rocks, Yingpan Ancient Fortress, and Bird Island.

Among these, Bird Island is a precious highlight of Baihua Lake. During spring and winter seasons, hundreds of birds circle above the island, adding much liveliness to the beautiful natural scenery. Rural charm is also a key feature here. There are three small villages on the lake where dozens of farming households live. Fishing boats are often moored by the water's edge or near the woods, creating a poetic and idyllic atmosphere that enhances the wild beauty of the place. Transportation: 1. From the suburban bus station at Riverside Park, you can take a deluxe shuttle bus directly to the scenic area.

2. Alternatively, you can take Bus No. 55 from Zilin’an to Zhuchang, then transfer to a small motorized tricycle to reach the main entrance of the scenic area. The one-way distance is 27 kilometers. Buses run from 8:00 to 17:00, with one departure every 30 minutes. Minibuses can be taken from the Social Passenger Transport Station on Shanlin Road.

Transportation

1. Take Bus No. 225 from the suburban bus station on Ruijin North Road, which runs every 30 minutes. After arriving in Zhuchang, walk or take a local taxi to Baihua Lake Scenic Area; 2. Go to Jinyang Coach Station and take Bus No. 6 (Guanshan Line 6), which runs every 30 minutes, then walk or take a local taxi to the scenic area after arriving in Zhuchang; 3. Take a bus to the intersection of Jinzhu West Road between Jinyang New World and the Aluminum-Magnesium Design Institute, then board Bus No. 102 (Baiyun District Dashandong – Baihua Lake), which generally runs every 20 minutes, and after arriving in Zhuchang, walk or take a local taxi to Baihua Lake Scenic Area.
