A light blue windmill as your guide – Find your way out of the 2-hectare "Sunflower Maze" in Pingzhen

Pingzhen City, which boasts the largest floral sea in the country, has introduced a "Sunflower Maze" created from a 2-hectare sunflower field, giving the public a chance to enjoy the challenge of navigating through tall sunflowers.

For many years, Pingzhen City has been dedicated to planting landscape green manure crops. This winter, the city's floral sea covers an area of 377 hectares, the largest in the nation. Yu Cheng-yu, head of the agricultural section of Pingzhen City, said that this year the city is focusing on promoting sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias as key landscape green manure crops. A roughly 2-hectare sunflower field near the Shin Kong Synthetic Fiber Plant on Yanping Road has been designed as a maze and is open to the public for free.

In addition, a 4-meter-tall windmill has been installed within the sunflower maze, making the entire floral seascape even more enchanting.
Pingzhen City Government specialist Chen Da-peng also noted that the sunflower blooming period lasts about 2–3 weeks, and the Sunflower Maze is expected to remain open until mid-December. Visitors are welcome to venture into the maze and find their way out.
