Provincial Scenic Area. Located in Longgang Town, southeastern Kaiyang County, Guiyang City. Accessible via the Guiyang-Kaiyang Expressway to Longgang Town. It is 65 kilometers from Guiyang, the provincial capital. The strata in the scenic area are ancient, with the main exposed layers being the Early and Middle Cambrian formations formed approximately 500 million years ago. The area mainly consists of limestone and dolomite, with some shale in local areas. The geological structure within the scenic area is complex. The terrain is primarily low-middle mountain valley landform. Due to the significant elevation difference between the plateau and basin since the Tertiary period and active external forces, the terrain is deeply dissected, forming a natural landscape of rugged peaks and deep valleys. In addition, the widespread exposure of low-carbon carbonate rocks, which are highly soluble, has created the unique karst scenery of the Zijiang Scenic Area. Opened to visitors in 2000, the Zijiang Scenic Area features a river valley stretching 14 kilometers, covering an area of about 25.4 square kilometers. It centers around the canyon scenery along both banks of the Zijiang River, characterized by rare and unique travertine shell landscapes, and encompasses a variety of natural and cultural features including waterfalls, springs, wells, peculiar peaks and rocks, pristine vegetation, and Buyi ethnic customs. The 200-meter-high Lin Gu Waterfall has a width of 6 meters at its top, features multiple tiers, and flows year-round with a majestic presence. The lower section splits into multiple streams, presenting a spectacular sight. From a distance, it resembles a fairy in white dancing along the cliffs of the high peaks, her flowing robes gracefully swaying. As the water cascades down, it forms multiple tiers of travertine, resembling halls or curtains. The scenery is abundant and grand in scale. "Group Dragons Playing in Water" showcases crystal-clear river water with varying widths along the valley. The mountains on both banks rise about 150 meters high, and six “little dragons” weave through steep slopes, forests, and bamboo groves, appearing and disappearing intermittently, creating an enchanting view.

The Zijiang Difeng Scenic Area is located in Longgang Town, Kaiyang County, over 60 kilometers from downtown Guiyang, covering a total area of 38.37 square kilometers. You can take a minibus from the back gate of Guiyang Normal University bound for Xintianzhai, or take bus 253 from the train station to Xintianzhai. Transfer to a bus heading in the direction of Dashil in Xintianzhai, with the journey taking approximately two hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Guiyang to Kaiyang and then transfer.
