Phoenix Village is located at the northern end of the Ten-Mile Gallery, on the left bank of the Qinglong River, under the jurisdiction of Nanjiang Township. The surrounding mountains here feature unique shapes. Ascending Ma'zong Ridge, one can see the “Swan Embracing an Egg” to the north and the “Phoenix Tapping the Water” to the south. Phoenix Village is situated right on the phoenix’s head, backed by mountains and facing the water, surrounded by lush forests. The dwellings of the Bouyei people are tucked away and partially hidden among the foliage. In spring, peach blossoms and willows turn green; in autumn, osmanthus flowers fill the air with fragrance. The entire village has over 90 residents in 23 households, all surnamed Chen and of the Bouyei ethnic group. The Qinglong Highway crosses the river on the opposite bank, and a cable bridge connects the village. The newly built Guiding Expressway runs along the opposite bank as well, and it takes just five minutes to reach the village after getting off the highway. Visitors can enjoy farm stays, admire the beautiful scenery of the Bouyei village, and experience the rich traditions of Bouyei culture.
