The Peng Jiazhen Memorial Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province and a patriotic education base.

The General Peng Jiazhen Memorial Temple covers an area of 10,250 square meters, with a roughly square floor plan. Its main entrance connects to Jia Zhen Park and faces south, featuring a traditional quadrangle courtyard layout. The entrance gate is located at the northern end. Aside from the central monument and the exhibition hall on the west side, the historic buildings consist of the newly built main gate, memorial hall, stele corridor, and the Wanqi Pavilion and reception room on the west side. The temple grounds are lush with flowers and trees, shaded by greenery, evergreen all year round, offering a unique and serene environment.

The main gate of the General Peng Jiazhen Memorial Temple is a building designed in a traditional Chinese style, with wooden beams and a roof covered in glazed tiles. The ridgeline is made of gray ceramic tiles. The gate’s eaves pillars are seven meters high, with a width of 14.4 meters and a depth of 15 meters. Above the double red-painted doors is a horizontal plaque inscribed with “General Peng’s Memorial Temple,” written by Zhang Qun, former Governor of Sichuan Province. On both sides of the gate hang a couplet composed by Zhang Xiushu, a veteran of the Xinhai Revolution and former Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, and calligraphed by Yang Chao, former Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee. The upper line reads, “A thousand years of imperial rule turned to ashes in a thunderclap,” and the lower line reads, “The general at Yishui brought spring to the land.” Approaching the gate gives visitors a sense of classic elegance and solemn dignity.

The memorial has now become one of the important educational bases for "commemorating martyrs and educating future generations." In 2003, it was designated as a provincial-level patriotic education base by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province.
