Foyeshan Scenic Area

Foyeshan is a famous mountain in the eastern part of Yicheng County, belonging to the Zhongtiao Mountain Range. Its geographical coordinates are 35° east longitude and 112° north latitude, with an altitude of over 1,800 meters and an area of approximately ten thousand hectares. The highest temperature on the mountain is 20°C, and the lowest is -10°C. The foggy period does not exceed one month. The area is covered by dense forests, with forest coverage exceeding 80%. In addition to large areas of pine forests, there are also many rare flowers and plants, making the natural scenery exceptionally beautiful.

Within the Foyeshan Scenic Area, there is Liaozhai River to the east and Zhangma River to the west, both flowing year-round. At the summit, there is a clear spring with sweet, crystal-clear water. The air in the scenic area is fresh and unpolluted. The main peak, Foyeshan, has Niangniang Ridge to the west, Seven Fairy Peaks to the south, Wulong Mountain to the north, and Jianshan to the east. From the main peak, you can see mountains and peaks stretching as far as the eye can see. On clear, crisp autumn days, climbing Foyeshan allows you to watch the sunrise, as the rolling fiery ball rises abruptly among the ridges—a truly spectacular sight. This is another summer retreat, vacation, and tourism destination within Yicheng County, apart from Shunwangping.
