Fan Dian Guan Di Temple
Fan Dian Guan Di Temple is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
Fan Dian Guan Di Temple is located in Fan Dian Village, Nantang Township, Yicheng County. The temple faces south and measures 35.86 meters from east to west and 45.8 meters from north to south, covering an area of 1,642 square meters. According to an inscription under the ridge beam of the stage, it was first built in the 18th year of the Hongzhi reign during the Ming Dynasty (1505) and renovated in the 11th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1831). The stage and main hall in the temple are Ming Dynasty structures, while the rear house and the mountain gate are Qing Dynasty constructions.
Fan Dian Guan Di Temple has a single-courtyard layout, with the stage at the southern end and the main hall at the northern end along the central axis. There are side gates and a rear house on either side of the stage. The main hall uses large beams, is three bays wide, five rafters deep, and features a single-eave gable-and-hip roof. Below the large beams are decorative brackets, above which are bracket sets extending over the columns. The hall also has bracket arms and carved patterns. The front porch is open on both sides, with changing column positions: the inner columns use large beams as well. The side rooms are all constructed with large beams. Above the second bay of the porch is a bracket set, and there is a beam support in the middle of the porch. The eaves purlins are reinforced with iron rods and wooden blocks, and the decorative brackets beneath the eaves are intricate. The inscriptions date the renovation to the 11th year of the Daoguang reign (1831). The ridge beams of the stage also bear inscriptions noting its construction in the 18th year of the Hongzhi reign (1505) and its renovation in the 11th year of the Daoguang reign (1831).
Fan Dian Guan Di Temple preserves inscriptions dated from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The main hall exhibits architectural features of the Ming Dynasty and holds significant historical value.
In May 2013, Fan Dian Guan Di Temple was designated as part of the seventh group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
