St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chongqing is a Chongqing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Catholicism is the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, founded personally by Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God. Its English name is The Roman Catholic Church, and its Latin name is Ecclesia Catholica Romana, which literally translates to Roman Catholic Church and is commonly translated as Roman Catholic Church. This church is governed by the Pope—the successor of Peter—and the bishops who are in communion with this successor. Until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, this church maintains communion in faith and life under the leadership of its chief shepherd, Peter, and his successor—the Pope—as it journeys toward the Kingdom of Heaven.

The earliest introduction of Catholicism to Chongqing can be traced back to the eighth year of the Xianfeng reign in the Qing Dynasty (1858).

St. Joseph's Catholic Church is located on Minsheng Road in Yuzhong District, covering an area of 1,700 square meters. The main church hall spans approximately 500 square meters and can accommodate over 1,000 people. Inside the church, two rows of large columns support the cream-colored ceiling, adorned with hanging lamps and candlelight. At the center are colored statues of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and St. Joseph, while the side walls feature fourteen oil paintings depicting the Stations of the Cross. The interior is elegantly and richly furnished, creating a solemn and reverent atmosphere. St. Joseph's Church holds three Masses every Sunday, and during major religious events, over a thousand parishioners gather to attend Mass.
