Jiefangbei Snack Street
Jiefangbei Snack Street is a cultural tourism attraction.
In the coming years, Jiaochangkou will gradually expand high-end entertainment venues based on the 50,000-square-meter Yintai Building and surrounding commercial facilities, integrating with Deyi Nightlife City to form the entertainment and leisure hub of Jiefangbei CBD, known as CED. Officials from the Yuzhong District government and the Commerce Commission revealed in a recent interview that the district will focus on renovating and constructing high-end commercial spaces, attracting premium domestic and international brands to comprehensively elevate the overall standard of Jiefangbei CBD.
Bayi Road Transforms into an Entertainment Street
Jiefangbei Snack Street is getting a makeover! According to officials, oil stains, food containers, and other types of food waste that detract from the image and class of Jiefangbei have completely disappeared from Bayi Road. In their place, a variety of leisure, entertainment, and F&B brands are gathering, creating a new nightlife consumption hotspot across the city.
It is said that Bayi Road will also actively introduce art studios, advertising agencies, animation and film production companies, specialty souvenir shops showcasing local culture, video game arcades, large internet cafes, and similar businesses.
Upgrading Deyi World
Known as the future “crown jewel” of Yuzhong, Jiaochangkou covers a total area of approximately 12.93 hectares. However, as Deyi Nightlife City gains increasing fame across the city and neighboring provinces and cities, the area has gradually become the primary entertainment and leisure hub in the main urban district.
Zhao Wenlong, Deputy General Manager of Deyi Property Management, stated that Deyi Nightlife City currently houses over 30 entertainment venues, with daily foot traffic of around 5,000–6,000 people and an annual turnover conservatively estimated at about 100 million RMB.
“Currently, two or three high-end entertainment enterprises from coastal regions are in talks with us about entering Deyi Nightlife City, while two existing entertainment venues with no distinctive features will be phased out,” Zhao explained.
Officials from the Yuzhong District Culture and Tourism Bureau revealed that the approximately 50,000-square-meter Yintai Entertainment City is now poised to welcome premium entertainment companies from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, the Chongqing Seaport Restaurant, covering 10,000 square meters of business space, has already moved into Yintai and commenced operations.
“By the end of this year, the 50,000-square-meter Yintai high-end entertainment complex, Deyi Nightlife City, HOPSON, Myrtle, and nearly 100 other mid- to high-end entertainment venues will not only enhance scale and upgrade standards but will also truly establish Jiaochangkou as the CED within Jiefangbei CBD,” said a Yuzhong District Culture and Tourism Bureau official.
Zhonghua Road Sells Premium Apparel
As “Snack Street” transforms and Jiaochangkou builds the CED, Zhonghua Road—also located in the core area of Jiefangbei CBD—will undergo a dramatic change within the next 3–4 years, becoming Jiefangbei’s dedicated fashion and apparel specialty street.
