Xiashuiyuan is located about 9 kilometers from Dafeng Town in Shanglin County, north of Nanning City, Guangxi, at the foot of the Daming Mountain. With its high mountains, dense forests, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters, the area boasts fresh air, deep pools, rapid streams, flowing springs, and cascading waterfalls — a picturesque landscape full of charming clear falls and green springs. Xiashuiyuan is part of the Daming Mountain water system. As it has not been officially developed, the environment here remains in its natural state. In particular, the water in Xiashuiyuan is clean and unpolluted, so clear that you can see the bottom of the stream. The stream water is sweet and refreshing to the lungs. Water quality analysis shows that this mountain spring water contains absolutely no copper, chromium, cadmium... Visitors can walk along the stream without bringing drinking water, as they can directly drink from the stream.

The most distinctive feature of Xiashuiyuan is the emerald-green flowing water in the valley, dotted with waterfalls and scattered pools of various sizes, clear and translucent like sparkling pearls. The area enjoys a cool and humid climate year-round, making it a rare summer retreat. It is surrounded by the undeveloped Longtou Mountain National Forest Park. Following the Dongchun River valley upstream, you’ll pass through Ri Tan (Sun Pool), Yi Xian Tian (One-Line Sky), Shuimo Valley, and finally reach Dongchun Waterfall. Return to Xiashuiyuan via a mountain path halfway up the hill. Along the way, there are three named waterfalls and countless unnamed ones. Enjoy night swimming and night fishing in the valley, chat about life and dreams, listen quietly to the murmuring stream, and fall asleep under the stars.
