Donghong Wetland is located in Donghong Village, Chengtai Township, Shanglin County, about 30 kilometers from the county town. Covering an area of approximately 1,200 acres, the wetland features attractions such as the Donghong Aqueduct, Moon Pond, Moon Mountain, and a troop of macaques. Surrounded by lush green mountains and peaks, the area is alive with the sounds of monkeys and birds, and offers a seamless blend of water and sky, resembling a paradise on earth. It attracts numerous visitors every year.

Upon entering the wetland, the first thing that catches your eye is a long, multi-arched stone aqueduct — this is the Donghong Aqueduct. Sturdy and practical, the aqueduct also boasts a unique design. The architects added a creative touch by including two small holes between the arches, shaped like two hearts joined together, symbolizing “hearts intertwined.” As a result, many young couples come to take their wedding photos in front of the Donghong Aqueduct every year.
