Wayao Ancient City is located 600 meters northeast of Wayao Village, Qinpai Community, Baixu Town, Shanglin County.

Wayao Ancient City has been designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Shanglin County.

Qinpai Community: Established on July 7, 2005, after the former Qinpai Township was merged into Baixu Town. It is located in the eastern part of Baixu Town, Shanglin County, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 9 kilometers from the town government and 23 kilometers from the county seat. The community currently has 19 natural villages, 38 production teams, and a population of 4,176. The cultivated land area is 4,538 mu, including 2,150 mu of paddy fields and 2,388 mu of dry land, with forested areas covering 16,100 mu. The community is home to ethnic groups such as Han, Zhuang, and Yao, and celebrates minority festivals including the Zhuang “Third Month Third” and the Yao Panwang Festival on the 29th day of the fifth lunar month.
