Shantou People's Square combines entertainment, leisure, and culture, radiating a modern vibe. Its sculptures and landscape design emphasize Chaoshan features, constructing a rich space that is multi-layered, high-end, versatile, scenically diverse, and fully open-air—featuring both pastoral scenery and urban charm to achieve harmony between humans and nature, vividly expressing the cultural richness of the coastal city and making it an ideal spot for leisure and recreation.

The square is located between Haibin Road and the municipal government building, covering an area of 6.3 hectares. Its main structures include an open-air stage, Roman colonnades, and a musical fountain. The central fountain shoots water up to 40 meters high, creating a majestic spectacle. A semi-circular stage is formed by 10 massive granite Roman columns, each 1.2 meters in diameter and 11 meters tall, complemented by 760 colorful lights. On either side stand two large sculptures: groups of cheerful children carrying a large seashell and clams toward the seaside, with clear water flowing from the seashell. Visitors often stop here to take photos. At night, under the glow of lights and the gentle sea breeze, locals gather here for evening gatherings.
