The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall of Yujing is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall of Yujing is located at No. 127, Yuzhong Road, Yujing Neighborhood Committee, Tuolian Subdistrict, Jinping District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Built during the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty, it faces northwest and is oriented southeast, following the traditional Chaoshan “Four-Point Gold” layout. It has a total width of 37 meters and a depth of 24.7 meters, with a construction area of 913.9 square meters. The main structure consists of two courtyards, one skylight opening, and two side lanes, with one wing room in each of the four corners, and a rear enclosure behind the hall. The exterior features a symmetrical three-lane single-gate design, with a flush gable roof, plain tile roofing, and earth-style roof corners. Above the main entrance is a stone plaque inscribed with the characters “Lin Clan Ancestral Hall” in bold Song-style relief. The central hall uses spindle-shaped stone pillars, with a wooden plaque inscribed with the characters “Mingjing” (indicating scholarly achievement) positioned prominently above the center of the front. The interior adopts a three-rafter, five-bracket beam-lifting structure. A pair of stone lions stands in front of the hall. According to clan genealogies, the Lin family of Yujing migrated here from Putian, Fujian during the Ming Dynasty. The ancestral hall has a history of over 500 years and serves as the clan temple for the Lin families of Yujing. Due to the relatively low elevation of the central courtyard, water drainage is slow after rainfall, hence the nickname “Immersed Water Ancestral Hall.” The ancestral hall also hosts the Lin Xun Tomb Site Research Seminar and now functions as a community cultural activity center. It holds certain reference value for the study of ancient Chaoshan ancestral hall architectural culture.
