Lianrong Ancient Well

Lianrong Ancient Well is located at Neiluyuan, Liurong Neighborhood Committee, Tuolian Subdistrict, Jinping District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Built during the Yuan Dynasty, it has a history of over 700 years. Covering an area of 18.4 square meters, the well opening is square in shape, and the well curb is built with irregular stone slabs. Its outer wall is coated with modern cement, and there is a drainage ditch nearby. According to interviews on site, initially only one spring was discovered, which was later developed into a well to supply drinking water for the entire village. It was renovated when building the Rennzu Ancestral Hall, and underwent another renovation in the early years of the Republic of China.
