Attraction Introduction

The 1860 Cultural and Creative Park is Shantou’s first creative park, located at No. 44 Xidi Road, Jinping District. Originally a school, it may be small but is exquisitely designed.

As you enter the gate of the 1860 Cultural and Creative Park and walk past a teaching building, a massive mural created on the exterior wall of a building immediately comes into view—featuring elements such as the Four Realms of Animals, beautiful women, and imaginative depictions of Chaoshan residences. The convergence of various artistic elements makes this area the most vibrant spot in the creative park.

In the cultural and creative park, preserving the original character while renovating is the most distinctive feature of the transformation. In the corridors and on the walls between two teaching buildings, students and faculty from the College of Art and Design at Shantou University’s Changjiang Campus have skillfully created unique murals.
