Qianbei Stone Bridge

Qianbei Stone Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by Zhuhai Municipality.

Qianbei Stone Bridge is located in Qianbei Village, Qianwu Town, Doumen District, Zhuhai City. It is a northeast-southwest oriented stone bridge, built in the late Ming Dynasty (around 1641), and is locally referred to as "Shiqiaotou" (Stone Bridge Head). The bridge spans the confluence of Longxuan Cave (a local name for the source of a mountain stream) and several nearby mountain streams. It consists of two parallel granite stone slabs, each 5.7 meters long. Each slab has 50 uniformly distributed semi-square wedge holes along one edge, which were created during the quarrying process.

Qianbei Stone Bridge is the earliest discovered ancient stone bridge in Doumen District to date. After more than 300 years, its structure remains intact and stable. In 2011, it was officially designated and announced as a cultural heritage site protected by Zhuhai Municipality.
