Pingdingshan spans hundreds of square kilometers, with its main peak rising 1,834 meters above sea level. The mountain is covered in lush vegetation and boasts beautiful scenery. In addition, the area is densely scattered with glacial relics rumored to be the "Nine Jars and Eighteen Pots"—including potholes, glacial erratics, stone rivers, stone seas, and glacial "Great Walls." These glacial remnants cover a vast area and feature a rich variety of forms, holding significant importance for the study of ancient climate, ancient humans, ancient environments, as well as for tourism development.
