Enable citizens to return home quickly for the Spring Festival holiday! The Taipei Transfer Station implements off-site disembarkation at 3 locations during the Lunar New Year

Last updated 2026-09-24 — The Lunar New Year is approaching, and it is estimated that the return-home rush will begin on Friday, February 5. To help people return home swiftly for the holiday, the Taipei City Department of Transportation has implemented an off-site disembarkation measure for long-distance and through routes at the Taipei Transfer Station. On February 5, 6, and 14, three disembarkation points have been designated outside the transfer station, including the southwest corner of the intersection of Chengde Road and Chang’an West Road, Exit 3 of the Taipei Railway Station’s east side, and the north side of Civic Boulevard (south side of the Taipei Transfer Station). The public is advised to take note.

The Lunar New Year is approaching, and it is estimated that the return-home rush will begin on Friday, February 5. The Taipei Department of Transportation stated that the intercity bus operators affected by this off-site disembarkation measure include Uni-President Transportation, Ho-Hsin Transportation, Arcoa Transportation, and Kavalan Transportation. The implementation times are from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on February 5, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Little New Year’s Eve (February 6), and from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on the last day of the holiday (February 14). The disembarkation locations for each operator are as follows:

1. For passengers takingUni-President Transportation and Ho-Hsin Transportation (via Taipei Interchange) routes: Please disembark at the bus stop area in front of No. 16–18, Section 1, Chengde Road.

2. For passengers takingArcoa Transportation and Ho-Hsin Transportation (via Zhongxiao Bridge) routes: Please disembark at the bus stop area at Exit 3 on the east side of Taipei Railway Station.

3. For passengers takingKavalan Transportation routes (bound for Banqiao): Please disembark at the bus stop bay on the south side of the Taipei Transfer Station along Civic Boulevard.

In addition to reminding passengers to inform their families of the pick-up and drop-off locations during the holiday, the Taipei Department of Transportation also noted that medium-distance and commuter routes at the Taipei Transfer Station, including those operated by Kuo-Kuang, Fengyuan, Haotai, Sanchong, and Hsinchu Transportation, will continue to allow disembarkation inside the transfer station.
