Banqiao Xinpuxi Station is one of my most frequented spots in Taipei, but I had no idea there was an American restaurant here until I received an invitation. It’s really creative, with generous and tasty meals. I’ve always loved American food – big portions and hearty vibes – but the high calories mean I can’t have it too often. This Busters American Bistro is located near Zhili University of Science and Technology, making it a popular choice in the school district. Because it’s situated in a school area, prices are more reasonable, and it’s even a pet-friendly restaurant. The owner is young and loves American anime, so he’s infused the shop with some humorous and creatively cute designs that bring smiles. There’s also a TV inside – perfect for catching sports games with everyone, cheering together.
There are lots of food options around Banqiao Xinpuxi Station, but American restaurants are pretty rare. This Busters American Bistro is truly a warm and adorable little eatery that shows the owner’s care and attention.

The white-based storefront catches your eye, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make the restaurant’s interior visible from the street.

American-style decor blended with cute anime – those Minions really stand out.

Kitty Iron Man? The owner is such a fun character, going all out on the cuteness...

The counter setup is laid-back, and there’s even a Munchkin Bear...

This guy’s just so cool...

The space isn’t big but feels very cozy, and the atmosphere inside is lively.

I’d definitely love to come here during a game and watch it with everyone – it would be so exciting.

Here comes the menu!!

Iron plate dishes and appetizers range between NT$80–390, and the portions are quite generous.

There’s also the Ultimate Challenge: Find the Belly Avengers. Finish the Ultimate Belly Avengers solo set within 30 minutes, and the boss will treat you – plus give you a little gift. Of course, if you don’t succeed, you’ll have to pay up yourself!

Mexican crispy tacos, salads, spicy curry, American hot dog series. For American food, these prices are really not bad...

Pasta and classic American sandwiches

And most importantly, the American grilled burger series… omelet and American-style scrambled egg sets.

Desserts and drinks

● ETtoday News Cloud reminds you: Don’t drink and drive, don’t drive after drinking.
Drinks are available as either refillable or regular. I obviously went for the refillable ones!! I’m a water buffalo, after all~~~

Highly recommend trying the specialty soda drinks – they pair great with American food.

Tropical Rainforest & Cool Hills (non-alcoholic specialty sodas)
Tropical Rainforest is made with passion fruit juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice, creating a unique taste with a refreshing sweet and sour flavor. Cool Hills blends cranberry, pineapple, passion fruit, and mint leaves, offering a sweet and fruity chill with a refreshing minty touch.

Cheese Bacon Potato Casserole & Busters Fried Chicken Wings (super spicy)
My favorite part of American food is definitely the potato and fried items – I’m all about the unhealthy, high-calorie stuff XD.

Cheese Bacon Potato Casserole
I feel like potato dishes rarely fail. Especially baked potatoes – they’re unbeatable. These are baked with bacon and cheese, lightly crisped on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with smoky bacon and cheesy aroma – this combo is just too strong XD.

Busters Fried Chicken Wings (super spicy)
What?! You said super spicy? Bring it on, you spicy devil – haha. When I saw “super spicy” on the menu, I didn’t even think twice and ordered it. Lady’s not afraid!! It’s the kind of American-level spiciness with Mexican hot sauce – for me, it’s just medium-level. A piece of cake, easy peasy, spicy and super crunchy.

Seafood Platter
It’s actually a big platter of fried seafood, featuring squid rings, fried fish, french fries, and shrimp. The sauces at Bacchus are all homemade, which really helps cut the greasiness. The fried items aren’t oily either—they stay crispy even when cooled down after being photographed, and still taste deliciously crunchy. I loved everything on this plate—hot fried shrimp with ketchup were amazing, the fried fish was crispy outside and tender and sweet inside, and squid rings have always been one of my favorites.

Beef Enchilada
Since I can’t eat beef, I just had tortilla chips with salsa!! Watching my friend enjoy the beef enchilada looked so fun—I bet it was delicious.

BBQ Pork Ribs
This is classic American fare—just a huge slab of BBQ pork ribs served straight to your table. The thick layer of sauce has the perfect balance of saltiness and aroma that hits you right away.

The ribs were cooked just right—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with the meat still tender. Absolutely delicious.

Cheesy Flat Iron Steak
Cheese with steak, and it’s piled on so generously—who are they trying to kill (just saying)? And underneath, there’s my favorite mashed potatoes—how evil can you get!!!? Sigh~ too bad I don’t eat beef... Oh well, I’ve got the pork ribs!!

Fried Jalapeño Peppers
These jalapeño peppers are fried, then tossed in salsa and topped with a bit of cheese sauce. The resulting texture is uniquely crispy, slightly spicy, and juicy. Personally, I found them a bit salty, but my friends thought the seasoning was just right.

New Orleans Bacon Chicken Sandwich
A bacon chicken sandwich made with ciabatta bread. By this point, I was so full I could barely move, so I didn’t try this dish.

Chicken Fajita
This is truly a creative and unique dish. At first glance, it looks like a colorful dessert-like platter, but it’s actually meant to be eaten with grilled chicken paella. The green, white, and red are yogurt sauce, avocado sauce, salsa, and cheese slices—all meant to be wrapped in a tortilla along with the chicken and rice.

First, you need to mix the yogurt sauce, avocado sauce, salsa, and cheese together.

Then wrap the chicken, turmeric rice, and mixed sauce inside a tortilla and take a big bite. The tortilla is chewy and firm, and when the sauce, chicken, and turmeric rice are combined, the various textures blend together surprisingly well—it's quite fun to eat.

Raw Chocolate Cake
This moist yet bittersweet raw chocolate cake is rich, dense, and quite good.

Chocolate Brownie
The chocolate brownie contains lots of walnuts, giving this rich and slightly bitter chocolate cake a nice crunch from the nuts. The ice cream on top with chocolate sauce is a bit sweet, so sharing with a friend helps avoid getting too overwhelmed.

Banqiao’s food is relatively more affordable compared to Taipei and New Taipei, plus the transportation is convenient—so I absolutely love coming here for meals. Bacchus American Diner serves tasty, hearty portions with tons of creativity, so I’ve decided to add it to my list of must-eats in Banqiao. I’d definitely come back again.
