Ice Snow City Scenic Area

Known as an "ice and snow world coexisting with the sun and warmth," Chengde Ice Snow City was built with an investment of 6 million yuan by the Chengde Tongjian Industrial Group. It is a unique new tourism project with strong northern characteristics and also the largest indoor all-season ice exhibition project in China. Chengde Ice Snow City houses over 60 sets of various ice sculptures, created by renowned ice sculptors from Harbin—China’s famous ice sculpture hometown—and Beijing. After passing through a nearly 60-meter temperature acclimation zone and entering a thermal insulation door, visitors are greeted by a refreshing and spectacular ice and snow wonderland. Major attractions in the ice sculpture area include: the China Archway, "99 Macau’s Joyful Return," the Statue of the Goddess of Mercy, a birch forest, the Moon-Viewing Pavilion, glacier penguins, Buddhist sacred sites, flying celestial maidens, ice carvings with alkali formations, pagoda forest jade carvings, Disneyland, Broken Bridge, the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at West Lake, the Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl and Leifeng Pagoda. The rime ice area forms a cave-like fusion of ice and trees.

The Chengde Ice Snow City ice sculpture exhibition also offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors to participate in, such as the Great Wall slide, single-person speed skating, ice climbing, Forest Express, fun curling, ice tug-of-war, kangaroo slides, as well as the unique "Clone Ball" created for Ice Snow City, along with traditional activities like spinning tops and ice skating.
