Located at the northwest corner of Moon Lake, in 1990, the then President of China visited this place and praised Baihuapo as a unique marvel of Bashang. On the lush green grassland, clusters of “little flames” dance — these are the blooming globeflowers. Back in the time of Emperor Qianlong, upon seeing this extraordinary sight, he improvised a line: “The yellow flowers beyond the Great Wall are like golden nails pinned to the earth.” The Grand Secretary Ji Xiaolan immediately responded: “The pagodas in the capital are like silver drills piercing the sky.” This exchange has been passed down as an eternal poetic couplet. In recent years, the crew of the TV series “My Fair Princess” also filmed scenes here, leaving an even deeper impression on visitors. The globeflower, also known as dryland lotus, golden hibiscus, or golden plum grass, mainly contains alkaloids and flavonoids, and has the effects of clearing heat, purging fire, detoxifying, and reducing inflammation. Therefore, it can be used both as medicine and as tea.

Summer in Saihanba is exceptionally enchanting. Traveling over a hundred li upstream along the Yishun River, the canyon gradually narrows, and an endless sea of green comes rushing toward you. Following the labyrinthine mountain roads as they wind upward, you ascend into the verdant and lush Saihanba. Gazing across the plateau, the rolling hills stretch boundlessly, with graceful white birch trees and towering, sturdy larches merging into a vast forest ocean. Among the woods and grasslands, a myriad of flowers bloom in competition. The golden globeflowers scattered across the mountains and fields are like stars strewn across an endless green carpet, forming an exquisitely crafted natural tapestry.
