Miaogong Reservoir is a national water conservancy scenic area.

Miaogong Reservoir, located on the main course of the Yixun River, 30 kilometers south of Weichang County in Chengde City, Hebei Province, is a large-scale water conservancy hub project primarily designed for flood control, while also serving functions such as irrigation and power generation.

The reservoir controls a catchment area of 2,370 square kilometers, accounting for 54.5% of the Yixun River basin, with a total storage capacity of 183 million cubic meters. The project is designed to withstand a 100-year flood and verified against a 2,000-year flood, with a seismic design intensity of 6 degrees.
