Jiangnan in the North is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Jiangnan in the North scenic area is situated in Beichang Village, Tashan Township, in the western part of Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County, covering a total area of 1,800 mu. It is owned and managed by Kuancheng Zhongyuan Hope Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., which began operations in May 2008. The area features an elegant natural ecological environment, unique tourism resources, and convenient, fast transportation with notable locational advantages. The scenic area lies at the junction of Panlong Lake and the Chengqin Coastal Highway, serving as a leisure tourism resort that integrates dining, accommodation, fishing, fruit picking, leisure sightseeing, fitness, and conference reception services. The area mainly consists of four zones: fishing, fruit picking, mountain leisure, conference reception, and free-range poultry farming. In spring and summer, visitors strolling through the fishing and picking areas can wander leisurely through hundreds of acres of peach and apricot orchards, admire the colorful blooms, and personally pick mushrooms, American cherries, Chinese honey peaches, local hairy peaches, plums, apricots, mulberries, calcium-rich fruits, and wild berries. In autumn, they can harvest apples, pears, hawthorns, walnuts, and chestnuts. Visitors can also enjoy the tranquility of fishing by a clear pond with rod in hand, or explore the serene natural mountain forests—where ancient cypresses cling to cliffs and the forest coverage exceeds 95%, earning it the reputation of a “natural oxygen bar.”

Visitors here can not only savor delicious wild game and mountain delicacies but also sit leisurely by a fence under a starry sky, listening to the songs of nature. The scenic area emphasizes the protection of the local sound ecological environment, planting trees and grass, dredging rivers, and creating a paradise-like landscape.

According to the plan, the construction of the entire scenic area is carried out in three phases, with an estimated total investment of 50 million yuan.

Since its investment and construction, Jiangnan in the North has cumulatively received about 300,000 visitors, generating a total tourism income of 21 million yuan. In 2012 and 2013, the numbers were 103,000 and 105,000 visitors respectively, while in 2014 the area has already received 150,000 visitors.

The Jiangnan in the North Hotel is now a provincial four-star and municipal five-star rural tourism hotel. Through continuous development and improvement in recent years, its service offerings have become more comprehensive. In November 2014, it was rated as a national AA-level scenic area.
